I grew up on the west coast, well, about two hours from there. Tacoma is a small city thats basically a suburb of seattle. Population then was probably around 160,000. It was a time of the gang stuff (crips and bloods). We literally grew up running the streets so i am a true genexer. I am one of 5. Two older (sister/brother) and two younger sisters. Ya, middle kid. My childhood was pretty awesome. We would be out all day until the street lights came on. The only time we would head for the house is if we heard dads whistle, and man could he whistle. Our friends were our family. If you’ve heard about how us genexers were raised then you know, as they say, if you know you know. Fast forward to adulthood, If you wanna call 21 being an adult…haha. I was 21 when i got my first business license. I worked construction for many years and thought, “why am i working for someone else when i can do this on my own”. Thats where i find myself today. At 53 i’am still doing what i started when i was 21 and wow, its been a journey.
I grew up in the Tri-Cities in a time when it was still a small town. I spent my childhood riding my bike all over town, swimming in lakes and rivers with my brother and sister. We knew it was time to head home when the streetlights came on or when we heard my mom yell. I had lots of good friends and some wild adventures. Grew up and had a few kids. Enjoyed being a part of their school stuff and sports for years.
When it was time to make the jump from stay at home mom to working mom I started a cleaning and organizing company. I enjoyed the people I worked with and my clients. Made some new friends and learned some hard lessons. Running my company lead me to see who I really was as a person and what i was capable. Learning to fly a plane has been one of the greatest joys of my life. Now as i head into this new chapter of my life i am so beyond excited to see what it brings.
